Swan Transport’s dedicated team of volunteer drivers have been rewarded for all the great work they do for their local community at the Chairman’s Community Awards 2017.
The award ceremony took place last month at the Guildhall in Bath and not only did our hard working team of drivers win the Volunteer Team of the Year Award, but our longest serving driver, Barbara Merrett, also won the Peter Duppa Miller Lifetime Achievement Award. Barbara has been driving for Swan since its inception and has only recently retired after many years of service.
Our dedicated team of drivers support those within the B&NES area who are older, frail or disabled and on a low income, by taking them to things like health appointments or social activities. We receive lots of positive comments all the time about our drivers, including how our clients really appreciate being able to get out and about,
especially if they find it difficult to use the bus, for example.
