The Parlour at Tuckers Grave was full of fun and laughter on Wednesday the 29th. Sparkly jumpers, mischievous elves and of course the man himself, Father Christmas.
Swan Transport always treats its drivers to a Christmas meal, but this year decided to do things differently.
Swan Trustees, volunteer drivers and our passengers who attend our social group called “Cuppa and Chat” with the Swan office staff; otherwise known as the ‘Charlies Angels’ of Transport, Sarah, Helen and Amanda. Everyone gathered at Tuckers and were treated to a fabulous grazing table prepared by Dawn and her staff.
Father Christmas, accompanied by Mrs. Christmas, found a present for the Cuppa and Chat passengers in his sack. Paul, an ex-Swan driver, provided live music with his guitar. Anna, our lovely office volunteer did a duo with Paul singing a “Take That” song – “The Greatest Days” and Paul sang requests.
The raffle raised a healthy amount of money which will go towards funding Coffee and Chat in 2024.
We were all able to mingle, chat freely and get into the mood for celebrating the past year. Thanks to Helen for organising something different for the Swan celebration, we all enjoyed our festive afternoon.
Thank you to our Volunteer Trustees and Volunteer drivers who bring happiness and joy every day of the year.
