ANOTHER wonderful afternoon celebrating all things community at Clutton Flower Show, writes Rosie Sage.

The flowers were resplendent, the vegetables and fruit magnificent, jams and preserves looking very tempting. Handicrafts are also shown in this marquee, how detailed and so very neatly created. What a lot of talented artists and a huge number of topics for all to see.

There was entertainment in the ring all day long and so very varied, demonstrations by the Mendip Pony Club, with jumping, mounted games on lovely ponies. On the horse theme Colin Horler brought one of his Radford shires, Radford Cilla, a four year old home bred filly. Back in 1991 Colin won the world record title for the most shire horses driven by one man over a distance of one mile at the Royal Bath & West showground driving 20 horses.

There was a fascinating display of vintage and classic cars together with tractors and lorries. A steam engine was also included in the display.

The crowd was much bigger than usual with the tea tent unfortunately running out of cake for a time, everything was so delicious.
