During an interview with the BBC, Michael Eavis assured festival fans that the new site would only be used every five years to protect Worthy Farm from damage. Details on the location of the temporary site will be revealed in the coming months.
In other festival news, a report released before Christmas has called for a review of the Festival’s traffic management plan after this year’s event saw roads blocked for up to twelve hours. The road disruption was caused by heavy rain, which caused
access issues for campervans. For 2017, the Bath and West Showground has been secured in case of any emergencies to ease congestion.
