THE team at Timsbury Pharmacy were delighted to learn they had been awarded Best Pharmacy in Somerset at the England Business Awards 2025.

These awards are one of the longest-standing business award bodies, now in its 10th year. As a category winner the pharmacy will now go on to the national final in Birmingham on November 16.

The pharmacy was also short-listed from 43 finalists at the national Pharmacy Business Awards held on October 3 in London. That award, which celebrates excellence and innovation in community pharmacy, is now in its 25th year.

Tina and Sanjeev Pun were delighted with the recognition.

“It’s a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our entire team” said Sanjeev. “And we are incredibly grateful to our loyal customers and community for their continued trust and support”.

Having taken over the existing Timsbury pharmacy 17 years ago the Puns moved to new premises on the High Street in July.

“As more clinical services are provided by community pharmacies, we wanted to build something modern, integrated, and above all, patient focused” Sanjeev continued. “We now have the first healthcare hub of its kind in the Southwest. It is home to the region’s only advanced Meditech ro-botic dispensing system. This increases dispensing efficiency and accuracy, freeing the pharmacists to spend more time with patients.

“This is now a healthcare destination. We are here to serve Timsbury and to welcome those from neighbouring communities who now have a modern, accessible health option close to home”.

Timsbury Pharmacy is a chemist and NHS community pharmacy on the High Street in the parish of Timsbury. It focused on providing a free prescription collection from St Mary's Surgery Timsbury, and Elm Hayes Surgery in Paulton.
