Thursday, 2nd June: First Thursday Afternoon Social – Welton Rovers (2-5pm). Welton Rovers will be dressed for the occasion on a fun-filled afternoon of music, bingo and laughter featuring live music from the fantastic Niteshift.
Lighting of the Beacon will take place at Midsomer Norton Rugby Club (7pm-late).
Friday, 3rd June: Paradis Palm Court Trio at the Town Hall, 12.30pm-1.30pm. Music Festival at the Town Park (1.30pm-8.30pm) see below.
Saturday, 4th June: Alongside the Farmers Market in the Hollies Garden, on the river will be the annual duck race arranged by the Lions.
Radstock & Midsomer Norton Lions are gearing up for this year’s fundraising event, the Jubilee Duck race at 12 noon. Those cute yellow rubber ducks will be racing again in timed relays along the river, each duck has a number and is sold prior to the race for £1 each. The fastest duck will win 1st prize £50, 2nd prize £30 and 3rd prize £20. Lions will be on the High Street selling ducks on Saturday 28th and the morning of 4th June. There will also be a Royal Trail - Can you find the members of the Royal Family in the shop windows?
Street Party at Silver Street Station (1pm-8pm): All aboard! From midday until 8pm join us at the station for a classic street party. Free train rides will be available throughout.The vintage bus will be running between the High Street and the station. Free entry!
Sunday, 5th June: Church Afternoon Tea and Church Service – Methodist Church High Street. Sunday afternoon offers an afternoon tea at the Methodist Church followed by a service of thanksgiving. The afternoon tea is ticket only. Please call: 07957 414970 to reserve your place.
Midsomer Norton Cricket club are hosting a free family fun day (2pm-8pm). Come along and enjoy an afternoon of cricket, live music, food and drink. Children’s crafts are being run by the B&NES Library staff also watch the dance performances.
