Midsomer Norton’s new Mayor, Cllr Michael Evans, helped to draw the winning ticket for a fundraising raffle, held by Midsomer Norton Craft, which raised £500 for the RUH’s breast unit.

The raffle was organised by Polly Read and Helen Fry, to thank the unit and its staff for their wonderful care. Helen says: “We would like to thank the following for their generosity in supplying prizes: Eden Treatment Rooms, Fosseway Press, Headlines Hairdressers, High Street DIY, Lidl, Midsomer Norton Community Trust, Mini Moos, Object, Paradise Pots, Pete Drew, Sainsbury’s, the Stag at Hinton Charterhouse, Terry and Caroline Wynne, Westhill Club and Wetherspoons.

“We would also like to thank Midsomer Norton Craft Shop for hosting the event, and all the crafters for donating prizes for the tombola.

“A big thank you to Mayor, Michael Evans, for drawing the tickets, and to everyone who sold and bought them!”
