Last month at Pondsmead Nursing Home we were fortunate enough to visit a local Wildlife Park.
Our residents thoroughly enjoyed this outing, along with our Shearwater Lake visit earlier in the month.
Regular outings make a world of difference to residents’ wellbeing.
Our residents were thrilled to observe the conservation and efforts to recreate the wild animals’ natural habitat. Visiting a wildlife park offers so many incredible learning opportunities, while having a fun day exploring.
It was also amazing to rekindle old friends and memories. One of our residents who attended, treasured an old friend that he worked with at the Wildlife Park in the seventies.
Our outing has inspired the pair to reconnect and the staff at the Wildlife Park couldn’t do more to reach out to their employee that is still working there after all this time. Thank you to Mendip Community Transport!
