Midsomer Norton’s branch of TSB has donated £100 to the Trinity Methodist Carol Singers.
The TSB bank nationally sent out a £100 Christmas donation to each branch to give to a local cause of their choice to offer a bit of extra support at this time of the year. The donations are part of the bank’s charitable approach, supporting small, local causes that matter where customers live and work.
Midsomer Norton’s branch chose to give their £100 to Trinity Methodists Carol Singers. Every year, a group from Trinity Methodist Church, along with Exit Stage Left, gather in Radstock, singing carols. Every year, the singers make at least £150 which is then sent to Action for Children, who provide the Carol sheets. This year’s carols are planned to take place on Monday, 21st December. Mike Martin, Treasurer for Trinity Methodists and leader of the church’s CrissCross family sessions accepted the cheque at TSB on Tuesday, 15th December.
Midsomer Norton’s TSB branch has also been supporting Cots for Tots, which is their chosen charity of the year, having been inspired by the story of local girl, Poppy Laker. They have beaten their initial target of £1,000, having collected £1,370.
