Last Wednesday, the children of Welton Primary School took on the challenge of climbing the equivalent height of Snowdon on Vertical Xtreme’s mobile climbing wall.

The children have been collecting sponsorship for this challenge, raising money for the school’s new Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) scheme.

The sponsored climb has also been very generously supported by local businesses.

On the day of the Snowdon Challenge, the sun was out and the children gave their all to achieve their goal. In fact, they not only climbed the height of Snowdon, but managed the three peaks challenge; Ben Nevis, and Scafell Pike as well!

Even the youngest children in the Reception class also managed to complete their own ‘Big Bounce’ challenge. They bounced their socks off on a bouncy castle – the distance from Welton School to Radstock Park!
