At our last rehearsal of 2019, we were delighted to be able to present a cheque for £1,162 to representatives of the local Samaritans.

The November concert, as can be seen from the sum raised, was a great success. The audience filled St Peter’s church to listen to a wide variety of music, from jazz to soul, old favourites and more modern numbers, all performed by the Westfield Voices and their guests, the Eden Band, and Katie Thompson.

The evening finished with a Christmas theme, totally contrasting When Will We See the Little One with the John Rutter version of The Holly and the Ivy, and leaving the audience with a heartfelt Thank You for the Music to end.

We are now heavily involved in Christmas carol services. You may have heard us at Tesco in Old Mills, singing carols with the Mendip Male Voice choir to raise money for the Children’s Hospice South West.

We will also be singing for St Peter’s Carol service and the Writhlington Carol service.
