Writhlington Village Hall committee ran their Annual Companion Dog Show on Sunday, 31st July, the first since pre-covid.

Soon after 9am, dogs and their owners arrived to book in and register their entries for the varied classes which were under the headings of Pedigrees and Novelty.

Our judge for the day was Tony Bray, ably assisted by Tracey Dindorp. Both worked extremely hard to keep everything running smoothly, which made our show a pleasure for both dogs and their owners.

Drinks and snacks were served throughout the day by Shelley and Zoe. The cakes and savouries were all made by Tracey to whom we are very grateful.

Our compere for the day was Roger, and he kept everyone informed as to what was happening on the field.

Roger also interviewed all the owners of the winners of each class.

The day was a great success and we received lots of favourable feedback from people who had enjoyed the show. This was very much appreciated.

There is a lot of work to be done before we hold our Dog Shows; marquees to erect and tables and chairs to carry.

If anyone could offer some help before and after next years show, please get in touch.

We hope to see you all at our next Companion Dog Show.
