B&NES Council's Economic and Community Development Policy Development Scrutiny Panel will meet at 3 p.m. on June 16th, at The Guildhall, in Bath, to discuss the future of local policing, including the proposed closure of Radstock Police Station.

Chief Superintendent Sarah Crew, of Avon and Somerset Police, will speak at the meeting, which will also be webcast for the first time. The impact of the new police operating model, including the proposed changes to police stations in the Bath and North East Somerset area, will be discussed.

The Chair of the Panel, Westfield Councillor, Robin Moss, said: "A key element of the Panel's work is working with the police to make our communities safer and we will welcome Chief Supt Crew as part of that discussion."

The meeting will be held in a 'Question Time' format, with the public able to submit questions about the new operating model in advance, or at the meeting itself.
