Vice-Chairman, Andy Stock, ended another impressive year by being voted Player of the Year when the Radstock and District Billiards and Snooker League held its presentation dinner at the New Inn, Farmborough.

He won both the Open snooker singles and the Division One title and was runner-up in the over-45s snooker competition, as well as having the highest Division One break of 61.

Clandown entered a team in the Billiards League for the first time for many years and celebrated in style by winning both the League and Knockout Cup. Timsbury B were League runners-up nudging out the club’s A team by just half a point, while Clapton B were runners-up in the Cup competition.

Marksbury B again completed the double of the Division One Snooker League and Knock-out Cup with Clutton D runners-up in the League and Clapton D the beaten Cup finalists. Clandown B were Division Two champions with Paulton RBL G in second place, but Paulton had some consolation by winning the Snooker Plate competition with Haydon C the runners-up. Clapton B were champions of Division Three with Writhlington C in second place. The presentations were made by Sid McCausland, who has been associated with the Radstock League for many years.
