The Annual Presentation Dinner took place at the Centurion Hotel on Saturday, 30th November. The evening started with a glass of sherry and a buttonhole for each of the members and guests. Clive Norman, Vice- President, welcomed everyone on behalf of the President, Richard Jones, and a minute's silence was observed in memory of Maurice Davies, a long-time member, who passed away recently.
After a delicious three-course meal, we were entertained by Sophie, who sang a lovely variety of songs until it was time for the trophies to be presented. As usual, there were a few names that cropped up frequently, although not the same ones as previous years. There was a special announcement and badge presentation to Tony Cooper, our newly-appointed Vice-President, who was also congratulated on his achievement in reaching the last eight in the Champion of Champions at Worthing.
There was plenty of time for more of Sophie's music, which had several couples dancing and the evening was rounded off with a raffle of numerous prizes donated by members.
