MIDSOMER Norton stormed to a 52-12 home victory over Old Redcliffians 2nd XV in Counties One Western West in their latest rugby match.

It was their tenth win of the season and enabled them to move up to third in the table. It was also the only game played in the division on a day when many matches were called off because of the wet weather.

Midsomer Norton will be hoping to step up the pressure at the top of the table when they play at home to Chard, who are lying ninth, on Saturday, February 28.

Nailsea & Backwell, who have an 11-point lead at the top, entertain Gordano while second-placed Dings Crusaders are also home - to Redcliffians.
