The rain stayed away on Saturday, 22nd May. In the morning, the plant sale raised some much needed funds and provided a convivial get together and then the sun shone for the afternoon friendly, which replaced the cancelled County League match against Alexandra Park.

The week continues with Club Night on Monday and the new internal League on Wednesday. Next weekend will be very busy – another Mixed Friendly on Saturday with Weston Bath, followed by the Big Bowls Weekend on Sunday and Monday 30th/31st May, when we are looking forward to seeing many of you “giving bowls a go”, between 10 am and 4 pm. Don’t forget all you need is to wear flat shoes and a smile. DN
