The first of our Monday night social events (just to keep everyone in touch with each other over the winter season) was a film show by Roger Meadows.
It started off with an episode of Fawlty Towers, which got us into the right spirit for the main film, which was Finding Your Feet, brilliantly starring Imelda Staunton and Timothy Spall. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, and is looking forward to the next – so, Roger, get your thinking cap on for another good film! Dave Cocks thanked Roger for his hard work.
A few dates for your calendar: Tuesday, 13th November, we are holding a Ladies’ meeting, starting at 10 a.m. All Ladies are invited, as we have to vote on proposals for League games for next year.
The Annual General Meeting is being held on Tuesday, 20th November, starting at 7 p.m. prompt. All members are welcome at this meeting, so come along and have your say on how the club is run. Any new members thinking of joining us next year are welcome to come and see what we are all about.
Sunday, 2nd December is our Presentation Lunch. This year, we are holding this at the Centurion Hotel; 12.15 for 1 p.m. start. Please get your menus to John Nation as soon as possible.
Saturday, 8th December, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Sue Burke is holding a Christmas-themed coffee morning, so please come along and support Sue and the Club. There will be a raffle, and prizes will be most welcome, preferably wrapped in Christmas paper, to make it more interesting.
