Mixed results for Fosseway this week.
Firstly, the Ladies were visited by their friends from Norwest in a North Somerset League game, where both teams fielded two rinks and one triple. Fosseway won on two rinks, lost on the triples but won overall, so took eight points. Their other game was away to Bloomfield in the same league, and they won on two rinks, lost on one and lost overall, so claimed four points.
On Wednesday, the Men played a MSL game at home against Purnell. The Vice-Captain reported that at one stage we were leading three rinks to one, but Purnell fought back to win two rinks to one with one drawn. So, the result was three points for Fosseway and thirteen for Purnell.
Saturday’s game against Frome Selwood saw Fosseway lose on all rinks.
On Sunday, we had a game against our friends at Paulton. I was assured it was a very friendly and enjoyable game, with both teams winning two rinks and losing two, but Paulton won overall. A good afternoon was had by all, thanks to Paulton for their great hospitality.
There’s not going to be any reports for a few weeks (unless I can twist someone’s arm), as I will be on my holidays.
