This week has been a quiet one for bowling. Whilst the Men haven’t had any games this week, the Ladies have had three games.
The first was against Isle of Wedmore, where we won on one rink, so came away with two points. The same happened on Wednesday, where we played Congresbury Away and had two points. Thursday was even worse, we played Bath and lost on all three rinks.
On Saturday, we had a Mixed Friendly game at home to Begbrook Park, where we lost on all rinks, but had a good afternoon bowling and socially.
Now, a few dates for your diary. The Centurion Cup Triples Final is being held on 2nd September. Support for the two teams playing would be appreciated. September 15th is the revised date for the Open Mixed Triples starting at 10 a.m.
The Janet Norman Trophy is now going to be held on 18th September, with the Semi-Final and Final to be played on 19th. Please get your names up, the notice is on the noticeboard at club.
Another competition that needs your support is the Allan Hobbs Cup being held on 27th and 28th September. Names please as soon as possible.
The last game for the Men in the County League is against Norwest B on Saturday. Come on lads, go out with a bang!
