After a brilliant season, Norwest’s Chloe Holmes was presented with the trophy for Somerset Youth Girls Bowler of the Year.

When you see the standard of our young bowlers, this was no mean feat, and bodes well for the future of our game.

The trophy was presented after a game at Bristol Indoors Bowls Club where a team of Somerset Under 18’s, including Chloe, along with Jack Vine (Norwest) and Cameron Bowen (Purnells), played and beat a team from Dorset. A well deserved win.

It was certainly Chloe’s year: not only did she win the Norwest ladies novice competition, but also took the club ladies champion title along with the Captain’s Day ladies trophy. She also took the shield for Under 18’s singles player in the Somerset Juniors Tournament.
