What wonderful weather we’ve had recently; aren’t you fed up with all of that rain? Well, here’s something to get you in a much sunnier frame of mind. Yes, it’s time to start thinking of our annual bowls tour – this year we are going to beautiful ‘sunny’ Bournemouth!
After several hiccups – the main one being that the hotel we booked promptly sold out, which left us a bit high and dry – we can now confirm that we will be staying at the Marsham Court Hotel. We will be playing three games of bowls during the tour at Southbourne, Swanage and Dorchester.
With each of the fixtures being six or even seven rinkers, it looks as if most of our bowlers should be able to take advantage of all that glorious sunshine by getting three games. If you feel this is too much for you and you will need a day off, please can you let Mary know as soon as possible to give her time to sort the teams out.
And now for the nasty bit: Mary wants your money! The cost this year is £300, but you’ve all paid your deposits, so it’s now time to cough up the rest, which comes to £270 per person. Could you please let Mary have the money as soon as possible, but by Subs evening at the very latest.
