Well, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout for our spring cleaning morning on Wednesday last.

We certainly made our “doubting Thomas”, Mary, eat her words: she said we wouldn’t get anyone turn up to do it, but she was wrong!

Armed with feather dusters, rubber gloves, polish and lots of elbow grease, our work party certainly put a sparkle on the clubhouse and chased many a lurking spider away.

Thanks to all who came, especially to Kath for the luscious coffee and walnut cake which we enjoyed along with hot cross buns and coffee for our elevenses.

It was a very successful morning but time ran out, so we’re meeting up at 10 a.m. again this coming Wednesday, 3rd April, to put the finishing touches to our spring clean in readiness or our Presidents Day on Sunday, 14th April.

Anyone wishing to join us for this final dust-busting session will be very welcome.
