It is with great sadness that we heard, this week, of the death of Pat Kerton, one of our members at Norwest Bowls Club.

Pat reluctantly gave up bowling back in 2016, due to ill health, but she still came along, with Roy, to watch and support us while she could. Pat was a quiet, gentle lady, but she had a sharp sense of humour: always ready with a witty remark. Our thoughts and love are with Roy, her husband, and all her family at this sad time.

Last week, I told you about our exciting ‘Simple, Silly Quizzy Evening,’

which was to be held on March 7th. Well, you just wouldn’t believe the amount of complaints I’ve had about it. It would appear that nearly all Norwest members and friends will be away or otherwise engaged on March 7th, so we’ve had to rethink it and due to popular demand, we have decided to change the date.

It will now be held on February 29th. As usual, it is 7.30 p.m. for an 8 p.m.

It promises to be a really fun evening, relying more on luck than knowledge, with not a difficult question in sight. So come on all you ‘dummies,’ this ones designed especially for you, so you can give the brain boxes a run for their money!
