Our club night was a little different this week, after playing the last match in the Mike Rees competition, we were visited by a trio of singers who are known as The Elderly Brothers.
The group entertained members with songs, many of which we were able to sing along with. Their jokes and ditties also had us all laughing. The evening was very enjoyable indeed and they were presented with a donation for the charity they support.
On Sunday, we played our club fours competition in inclement weather, such a pity after the long dry spell, but nevertheless the game went on. Five teams took part and the games were played with much enjoyment and competitive spirit. The two winning teams now go forward to the finals.
After such a ‘hard’ afternoon’s bowling, members were rewarded with a cream tea and strawberries. Well done everyone.
