A quiet week at the end of this season saw us failing, despite strenuous efforts, to gain an overall win away against Purnell on Monday evening, therefore we did not make it into the finals of the FFC competition.
On Saturday, almost all of the members played in the final competition of the season, when the President’s team played the Captain’s on a green at it’s best in brilliant sunshine. The President’s team won 76 shots to the Captain’s 64. The afternoon finished with a truly magnificent American supper and raffle.
A final thank you to David Beard and the small team of helpers who have tended the green to bring it to the great playing condition we saw this weekend.
