With thanks to the generosity of Paulton Parish Council, the club has been able to install a ramp to the clubhouse, which enables less mobile members and visitors to have easy access.
Colin Curtis, a wheelchair user and member of the club, used the ramp on Sunday, 1st May when Paulton Bowls played Ladies v Gents. Although it was extremely cold, a good game was had by all with the Gents winning by 67 to 52.
We are also indebted to the Dorset Golf and Country Club, courtesy of John Champion, for the loan of a wheelchair for use on the green. It was Colin’s lucky day, besides being his birthday, 21 again, he won the Spider, which was a bottle of whisky and a bottle for his wife.
