Prattens’ Ladies were at home to Castle Cary in the Wild League. Prattens won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall, gaining ten League points. In their second Wild League game, Prattens travelled to Wyrall Park, Glastonbury, where the game was shortened to twelve ends due to the hot weather. Prattens lost on all three rinks.
In the next round of the Fear Cup, Prattens’ Ladies lost to Bath Ladies Bowling Club.
This week, Prattens’ Men were at home to Purnell in the Turnbull Cup and unfortunately we lost on all rinks. In the final Mid-Somerset League game of the season, at Fosseway, we lost on three rinks, won on one and lost overall, gaining two League points.
Fortunes changed for Prattens’ Men on Saturday, in the Somerset County League, at home to Weston Bath B. In a game shortened due to the rain, Prattens won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall by 47 shots to 19, gaining 12 League points.
The final game of the week was a mixed friendly game at home to Frome Park, which had to be cancelled due to the Green being affected by the rain.
In the Champion of Champions, Pauline Dando won through to the next round after winning against Mervyn Ashman from Norwest.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies are away to Shepton Mallet in the Wild League, Prattens’ Men are at home to Knowle B, in the Somerset County League and there are two mixed friendly games at home to Paulton and away to Mark Moor.
