Prattens’ Ladies made a good start to their Wild League games when they played Paulton in the first game of the season.
Prattens won on one rink, drew on one and lost on one, but won overall by 48 shots to 41, achieving nine League points.
In the first Somerset County League game of the season, Prattens’ Men didn’t fare as well, losing to Keynsham B on all three rinks.
In the first round of the mixed Tony Allcock Trophy, Prattens lost to a team from Chew Stoke, while the mixed friendly at home to Ashcombe Park was cancelled.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies play a friendly Away to Alexandra Park (Bath) and are Away to Stothert & Pitt in the first round of the Southey Trophy. Prattens’ Men are Away to Knowle B in the Somerset County League and on Sunday we are holding the first round of our Club Pairs competition.
Our regular Monday evening club nights begin now and anyone is welcome to come along from 6 p.m., all you need to do is just wear flat shoes, as bowls can be borrowed and coaching is available free of charge.
