All good things come to an end, and this week is the last for us at Prattens as far as bowls matches are concerned.

As the Men’s team had already finished their matches, we mainly concentrate on the Ladies’ matches. First came a friendly against Isle of Wedmore, where the Ladies won on two rinks and the overall result was 45 shots to Prattens, and 42 shots to Isle of Wedmore.

On the Friday, the ladies had a rearranged Wild League match against City of Wells. Prattens won well on one rink but lost on the other two rinks. However, overall Prattens received eight points and City of Wells Ladies received four points. This result puts Prattens in third place in the League.

The week finished with a Captain’s Challenge, the Ladies challenging the Men to a eighteen-end game. The result was a win for the Men’s team. The best part of the day, apart from the good weather, was the great tea provided by both Men’s and Ladies’ Captains as a thank you to all who had taken part during the season. This game was played in a variety of colours and costumes. A great end to the season.
