Prattens’ Ladies played a friendly at Home to Winscombe this week; Prattens won on one rink, lost on one, but won overall by 36 shots to 33.

In the Wild League, the Ladies were Away to Castle Cary; Prattens won on one rink, drew on one and lost on one, but lost overall by 49 shots to 52, gaining three League points.

In a Friendly Away to Weston Bath, Prattens’ Men won on two rinks, lost on one and won overall by 64 shots to 51. There was a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game Away to Castle Cary; Prattens won on one rink, lost on two and lost overall by eight shots, gaining two League points. In a Mixed Friendly Away to Shepton Mallet, Prattens lost on all four rinks and overall.

In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have a Friendly Away to Weston Bath and a Wild League game at Home to Wyrall Park (Glastonbury). Prattens’ Men have their penultimate Somerset County League game of the season, Away to Knowle C. There is a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game at Home to Street, and a Mixed Friendly at Home to Winscombe.

Also this week, two of our Ladies, Pauline Dando and Chris Love, are at Leamington in the National Finals of the Ladies’ County Pairs competition. It is a great achievement and everyone at the Club wishes them well. Club nights are on Mondays at 6 p.m. All are welcome to come along and try the game of bowls, just wear flat shoes.
