Prattens’ Ladies, Pauline Dando and Chris Love, won the Final of the Somerset County Pairs Competition by 25 shots to 11, when they played Chenda Harris and Joan Jenkins from Taunton Deane on Sunday; the Finals were played at Taunton Vivary. Congratulations from us all!
In their Wild League game against Wyrall Park, Prattens’’ Ladies won on two rinks, lost on one, and won overall by 63 shots to 49. In a friendly match against Keynsham, the Ladies again won on two rinks, lost on one, and won overall by 55 shots to 40.
Prattens’ Men played another Charity Cup game this week against a combined Frome Park/Frome Selwood team, where Prattens won on one rink, drew on one, and lost on three.
In the coming week, the Club Competitions conclude. Prattens’ Men play the last of their Charity Cup games against Paulton, and Prattens’ Ladies are away to Isle of Wedmore in a friendly. The season concludes on Sunday, with our Captains’ Day, which this year is themed Nightwear.
