The 2018 Summer Skittles season culminated at Welton Rovers last week with the annual prize-giving and celebratory Killer match.
Top spot in the league went to T8 Rabble, captained by Colin Tincknell OBE, who lost only once all season, and won the League title at a canter.
Their sharp-shooter, Sue Collins, also picked up the award for Highest Score by a Female. The Highest Male Scorer award went to Stuart James, who overtook his team mate, Tom Smith, with his final ball of the season to hit 53 and pick up the prize money, while the Highest Team Score went to Les Chivers’ JLM Ltd for their impressive 183.
Perhaps the season’s highlight, though, came in the End of Season Killer competition, when the League’s sticker-upper, young Jack Hulford, showed he’d been paying attention and beat 29 other competitors to win the prize in a tense single-pin finish!
