On a gloriously sunny day, Peasedown travelled to Dundry for their opening fixture of the league season.
After weathering an early onslaught, Peasedown gradually got back on top, but survived a shock when John Miles, thirty-yard shot saw the ball hit the underside of the bar, bounce down onto the goal line and into the hands of the grateful goalkeeper, Dave Clark, who was making his Peasedown debut.
Peasedown took the lead on the half-hour when Adam James' mishit cross came back off the crossbar and the ball fell invitingly for Neil Hulford to volley home.
Peasedown continued to dominate in the second period, but last season's failure to convert chances thwarted them again, especially Adam James who saw his shot hit the post.
With less than fifteen minutes remaining, Dundry was thrown a lifeline when they were awarded a freekick twenty yards from Peasedown's goal. Striker, Jesse Finn, stepped up to fire the ball into the bottom corner of the Peasedown net for the equaliser.
Peasedown did not let this setback hinder them for long and stepped up the pressure again. Jack Woodland got the winning goal when he scored direct from a free kick taken ten yards in his own half. Man of the Match – Captain, Jack Woodland.
