Fosseway Medal Secretary, Brian Phelps, drew on his jungle training to cope with the extreme heat and high humidity and record an impressive forty points to comfortably win the Ted Cottle Trophy. Second and third places went to Gerald Rowell and Rod Bruce, both on 36 points.
The Seniors home fixture with Woodspring on Monday fell foul to lightning and a deluge which made the Westfield Arboretum course unplayable. The next match is away to Whitley on Tuesday, 13th August.
