After having qualified through the South West Region, Farrington Park Junior, Abby Gray, competed in the Wee Wonders Grand Final, a 27-hole event, at the home of golf, St Andrews.

The ten-year-old daughter of Farrington Park Professional, Terry Williams, played three rounds over three days against some of the best under-twelve girls in the British Isles.

Abby finished a creditable eighth place. Her highlight was a four over par 34 in the second round, which was the fourth best round of the day.

"If I'd have putted like I normally do, I would have finished even better. I loved playing St Andrews and I hope I can qualify for next year's competition," said Abby. Her goal is now to get a low enough handicap to join the eighteen-hole Duchy Course at Farrington Park.

Well Done Abby, we wish her every success in the future.

Farrington Park Seniors

Farrington Seniors competed in the ever-popular Four Ball Better Ball competition this week. Playing off three quarters handicap, it was expected that winning scores may feature in the low forty points, but excellent conditions and good play confounded this view.
