With torrential rain during the night it was thought unlikely that the competition would go ahead. However, the course was in fine condition with only drizzle, high winds, drizzle and more drizzle to contend with!
With the wind bending the flagsticks at crazy angles, club selection and direction is always a bit of a lottery. Some manage it extremely well, others, well, not so good.
A two man Texas Scramble was played with forty two pairs taking part, an excellent turnout in the circumstances.
Remarkably only two points separated the top ten teams with countback method employed for second through to seventh place.
Only six two spot scores were recorded but no payout in this form of competition - unlucky for Steve Symonds’ who had a two on the tenth and also on the fifteenth.
