Twelve pairs of Farrington Park Ladies played the Seniors for the annual Ladies versus Seniors Shield on Tuesday, 19th December in what is known internally as 'The Match' – a Four Ball Better Ball matchplay match. All were prepared for the bracing cold that brought us our first taste of winter. However, the glorious blue sky and sunshine did little to reduce the disappointment of the result – seven matches lost, three matches won and two halved producing an 8–4 victory for the Seniors.

On Thursday, 21st November, 48 ladies took part in a Mystery Bowmaker. The fun competition's format was for the best two scores to count on all holes other than the mystery holes.

Competitors knew that the mystery holes were the fourth, sixth, tenth, fourteenth and seventeenth, but until they reached the tee after the mystery hole, they didn't know which scores and in what combination would be used for the mystery hole.

Some holes were multipliers, some were for specific players' scores to count, be it A, B or C and others were for the entire team's score. Min Woodward, Lena Warren and Terri O'Shea came first, with 86 points. Wendy Butt, Maureen Charlton, Pauline Young came second, with 83 points. Karen Wills, Suzanne Young, Gillian Seaward came third, with 82 points, and Lin Papas, Lo Dallocco, June Symonds came fourth, with 81 points.

The Ladies at Farrington Park are tremendously proud of Victoria and wish her the best of luck with her Captaincy.
