Young goalkeepers who have slipped through the scouting net are being given a second chance by former Bristol City and Rovers stopper, Steve Phillips.
Currently Head of Academy Goalkeeping at Yeovil Town FC, Steve is a UEFA B licensed goalkeeping coach, and is offering aspiring footballers as young as six the chance to benefit from his 20 years of professional experience. As well as playing for both Bristol City and Bristol Rovers, Steve has coached at Liverpool FC academy and at Crewe Alexandra, and has links to the academies at Bristol City, Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town.
Steve Phillips’ Goalkeeping Academy runs every Friday during term-time only, with sessions starting on September 8th at South Bristol Sports Centre. Sessions for 6 to 11 year-olds run from 6 to 7 p.m, with sessions for 12 to 18 year-olds running from 7 to 8 p.m. Places are limited, so anyone interested is urged to book early by emailing: [email protected].
