Timsbury Reserves 2 Peasedown Albion Reserves 3

It was back to league action for Timsbury last weekend, with neighbours, Peasedown Albion Reserves, the visitors. After a bright start from Timsbury, they found themselves 1–0 after ten minutes with a free header at the back post put back across the six-yard box, only to be slotted home.

Another ten minutes passed, with Peasedown becoming ever more dominant. A through ball for the Peasedown striker, into the box, saw a very rash challenge from the Timsbury Centre Half (Captain) which lead to a mis-timed tackle and resulting penalty. This was taken by the Peasedown Captain and cooly finished into the bottom right hand corner of the net. Timsbury then found themselves conceding another before half-time, which ultimately led to a few stern words at the half-time team talk for the Home team’s Manager.

The second half got underway, with Timsbury making a much brighter start, creating more chances and finally getting a deserved goal with a cross to the far post which was followed in by Tim Midgley, with a tap in, and gave the home team a route back into the game.

Chances came for both teams as the game started to open up; Timsbury then played through the pacey winger, (Tim Midgley), and this time he was able to slot home for Timsbury’s second of the match. Timsbury then pressed with some attacking options from their bench, but unfortunately were unable to get the equalizing goal they probably deserved with a much better second half.

The game finished 2–3 to the visitors, with Peasedown taking home all three points.
