The second social match of the season for the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club saw them lose narrowly to Westbury by three and a half matches to two and a half.

With the last pair still out on the course, all three results were possible, but Harold Lidbitter and George Underwood lost 3&2.

Howard Nowell and Mike Ricketts gave Fosseway a good start, winning their encounter 4&3 and there was also success for Terry Button and Frank Reeves who finished two up. Allen Cheney and Mike Weeks halved their game but Alan Jones and Gerry Rowell lost 3&2 and John Bendle and Malcolm Tucker were beaten 5&4.

The Seniors section have announced that this year’s open has been cancelled. The complications caused by the pandemic has forced this decision. However, the Seniors’ Away Day will go ahead on Thursday, 15th July at Tall Pines Golf Club.
