Mendip did battle with the bitter cold and a determined Old Bristolians side on Saturday, and came away with a hard-earned point.
Katie Riches opened the scoring after a great run by right-back, Sammy Chivers. With conditions worsening, Old Bristolians managed to bag an equaliser, and then nudged ahead. Georgie Kelly secured the draw for Mendip, reacting to a rebound from Jess Smith’s strike to slot home. Katie Riches was voted player of the match.
This week, Mendip travel to Clifton Robinsons, hoping for a win which would see them leapfrog their opponents into second place in Central Division.
