In the Paulton Hospital Cup, Somer Valley progressed at the expense of Meadow Rangers, beating them 4-2, with goals coming from Tom Hooper (2), Howard Dennis and Alex Coombs.
Also through to the next round is Bath Villa, as they beat Westfield A away, 8-1. Westfield A’s single goal came from Taylor Parfitt.
Coleford Res at home are through in the Baxter Shield after a tough game against Glastonbury Res, drawing 3-3 at full-time. Goals from Aaron Blacker (2) and Jamie Olding, they were better than their visitors at taking penalties, winning 4-1.
In the Premier Division, Frome Collegians stay top with a good home win against Temple Cloud, 3-1. Their scorers were Morgan Marsh, Adam Lock and Lewis Perrett. Replying for the visitors was Ben Jefferies.
It was a close encounter at Mells, with Coleford falling over the line 2-1, with a brace from Jack Davis.
Purnell Res at home and Wells A played out a 3-3 draw, which was the visitors’ first point of the season.
Westhill Sports go second in the table with an excellent win away to Radstock A 3-1, their goals coming from Jack Broadway (2) and Joe Dallard.
New boys Victoria Sports go to fourth, beating Westfield Res at home 3-1. Hitting the net for them were Tom Bull, Dan Linham and Robert Turner.
Two very good teams fought out a great battle in the First Division. Peasedown Albion entertained Pilton, with the visitors taking the lead as early as the fourth minute. The lively Liam Hodges showing his pace to score, he then increased Pilton’s lead after thirty minutes to 2-0, but the home team pulled a goal back through Lee Gould, catching the goalkeeper off his line just before half-time.
Peasedown got their game together in the second half, but they were still finding it difficult to hold the lively Pilton forwards. The home team drew level with a great strike by Ricco Sobers, which looked as if the game would end in a draw, but the visitors had other ideas when Will Reilly made his way past two defenders to place an unstoppable shot into the far corner of the net to inflict on Peasedown their first league defeat.
Chilcompton Res at home had a very good win against top-of-the-table Clutton Res 3-2; their goals came from Jack Mounty (2) and Alex Short. This was the visitors’ first league defeat but they still stay top of the league.
Chew Magna Res won away to Belrose 5-1.
Timsbury Res keep their unbeaten league record intact, beating Saltford Res away 6-1 and stay top of the Second Division.
Peasedown Albion Res stay second, beating Westhill Sports Res 4-0, with goals coming from Hayden Campbell (2), Louis Diegutis and Scott Newton.
Unbeaten Weston Bath keep their top position in the Third Division, but they could only manage a draw against Chilcompton United, 3-3.
Stoke, also unbeaten in the league, move up to second, beating Purnell A 4-2, with goals from Stuart Button, Ben Brown, Den Hansford and Callum Parfitt.
Timsbury A won their first game of the season, 5-1 away to Chilcompton A.
Pilton Res at home in the Somerset Intermediate Cup held Misterton to a 0-0 draw after extra time, but lost 5-4 on penalties.
