Chilcompton Res scored 7-2 away to Somer Valley, the home team replying with goals from Tealle and Patterson. Meadow Rangers did better last week, playing out a 0-0 draw at home to Clutton Res.

The Second Division leaders, Wessex, really went to town away to Stoke Rovers, winning with six goals without reply. Second-place Belrose went away to Timsbury A with two late goals, winning 5-2. Their goals came from Darren Maynard (4) and Charlie Moon; for the home team, Jack Bailey and Paddy Doyle.

The visitors are joint-leaders on ten points, as are Peasedown A, who didn’t have a game.

The game at Oakhill between Mendip Rangers and Chilcompton A had to be abandoned because of a serious injury to Josh Corp, and the League wishes him a speedy recovery.

In the Baxter Shield, Coleford Res at home had a very good win against a very good Frome Collegians Res side, 4-2. Getting the goals were Jamie Olding (2), Jordon Welling and Lewis Gilson – must have been helped by those new goal posts!
