With leaders, Pilton United, having no game in the Premier League second place, Peasedown Albion took the chance to close the gap on them to just one point with two games in hand.

Peasedown beat Westfield Res away, 6-1, helped by a Dan Hucker hat-trick, along with goals from Scott Baker, Rico Sobers and Olly Davidson. Meanwhile, Bath Villa move above Purnell Sports to third after beating ‘The Printers’ at home, 3-1. Frome Collegians are closing the gap on the leaders with an 8-0 away win at Victoria (Street), and Westhill Sports had a good win at home, beating Coleford 2-0.

In the First Division, there was only one game.

Evercreech move up to fourth, changing places with Wells A, who they beat 3-2.

In the Semi-Finals of the Clark Cup, Chilcompton Res beat Meadow Rangers away, 4-1. Getting the goals for the visitors were Alex Short (2), Alex Wellington and Sam Burge, with Tyler Davis getting the consolation goal for the home team.

Peasedown Albion Res won away at Somer Valley Sports, 2-1. Finding the net for the visitors were Tom Pielesz and Jake Cox – the winner coming from a corner in the last minute. The home goal scorer was Hugh Whetherley. The Final will be played at Shepton Mallet on Friday, 5th April at 7.30 p.m.

The Quarter-Finals of the Morland Cup saw Weston (Bath) beat Timsbury A away, 8-2; Farrington won at home against Glastonbury Res, 4-1; and Wessex scored five without reply at home against Saltford Res – getting the goals were Jerome Christotridos (2), Ben Palmer, Dan Linham and Cameron Richards.

In the Baxter Shield Semi-Finals, Coleford Res at home put five past Mendip Rangers, winning 5-1. Getting the goals for the home team was a hat-trick from Jack Bradley, Dan Willis and Lance Cray. Belrose won at home against Peasedown A, 5-2 – getting the goals for the away side were Chris Preston (2). The Final will be played at Shepton Mallet Friday, 12th April at 7.30 p.m.

In the Wilmott Cup Quarter-Finals, Chilcompton A lost at home 2-1 to Chilcompton United. In a close game, the home team went one down in the first half but equalised in the second period. When Jake Curtis was brought down in the box, Lucas Hawkins scored from the spot.

Elsewhere, there was a tremendous game at Pilton Res, where they entertained Frome Collegians Res. The result at full time was 4-4; the home team making the Semi-Finals by winning 5-4 on penalties. In normal play, scoring for the away team was Tom Brown (2) and Alex Clarke (2).
