MONEYFIELDS 1 PAULTON ROVERS 2

Paulton came away from Portsmouth-based Moneyfields with a deserved 2–1 victory.

The visitors dominated early play with Lee Ibrahim lobbing over the bar from Ben Withey’s cross.

Rovers went ahead on the twenty-third minute as Tyler Jackson laid the ball to Ibrahim and his deflected shot fell into the path of Ryan Gay, who rounded the Keeper to score.

The impressive Withey was troubling the Moneyfields defence down the right and he set up Gay, whose shot was blocked.

On the restart, Paulton Keeper, Aaron Sainsbury, tipped over a chip from Alex Lafleur.

The Money’s equalised on forty-nine minutes as a free kick taken by Keiran Roberts beat Sainsbury.

Moneyfields were much more attacking in the second period, but slightly against the run of play, so Paulton went ahead again as Jackson found Gay, laid the ball into the path of Will Hailston, who

thundered home from twenty-five yards out.

Paulton had a superb chance to go further ahead as twice they hit the post through Hailston and Gay.

In the dying minutes, Sainsbury saved from Roberts and Rovers’ Captain, Charlie Hitchings, kicked the ball off the line from Steve Hutchings.

Man of the Match was Ben Withey, from Paulton Rovers.
