Purnell’s Under-12 girls travelled to Bishops Lydeard on a very wet morning for the first round of the cup game, with the Magnificent Seven.
Not long after the referee had blown his whistle, Purnell were 1–0 up. There was great play from Purnell, and their defence stayed strong. At half-time, Purnell were 3–1 up.
The second half was just as solid from defence, with great attacking and goal-scoring from Mia, Nancy and Jessica. The defence worked really hard, comprising of Lisa, Abi and Izzy, and great goalkeeping from Leigha.
The final score was 6–3 to Purnell. Player of the Match went to Abi.
