Radstock entertained Chippenham Park last Saturday in the Toolstation Western League Division One.
The game started at a fast pace, with both teams moving the ball around well. Chippenham had the first chance of the game from a set piece which was headed wide. Radstock began to dominate the game and chances fell to Millard and Pawley that brought out good saves from the Chippenham keeper.
The second half started well for Radstock and more chances were created, but Radstock couldn’t convert them. Radstock began to push for the winning goal, only for the referee to send off Ryan Child by mistaken identity.
Within the first minute of Radstock being down to ten men, Chippenham’s George Bettles was dismissed for kicking Jordan Matthews off the ball. The game finished in a bad-tempered way, with many thinking the referee had lost control of the game. The Man of the Match was awarded to Jake Wyatt.
This is the third goalless draw in a row for Radstock, after their 0–0 draw against Chard last Wednesday evening.
