Coleford eased into the final of the Dimmock Green Knock Out Cup with a resounding 6–0 win in the semi-final against local rivals, Stoke Rovers.

It was a much closer affair in the other semi-final, with High Littleton winning 1–0 at home against Pilton. This was a rough and tumble game, with no quarter given by either side and well refereed by Arth Jones.

In the Premier League, leaders Welton Arsenal really came unstuck away to Westfield Reserves, losing 5–1, with fourth placed Interhound achieving the same result of a 5–1 win against third place Radstock A. One of the results of the day had to be lowly Meadow Rangers, beating Mells away 2–1, with bottom team, Clutton Reserves, losing to Wells A 3–1.

Division One leaders, Temple Cloud, continued their winning ways, beating Purnell Reserves 2–1 away. Second placed Baltonsborough had a good win away to Camerton 3–1 and Westhill Sports progress in the cup beating Evercreech, 5–0.

Victoria Sports go top of the Second Division with a 11–1 win away to Westfield A. Somer Valley, in second place, lost to fourth placed team, Tunley Reserves, 2–1. The young Chilcompton team stay third, winning at Saltford 4–1.

In the Third Division, Old Crown Bath had to fight hard to achieve a 1–0 win against Wessex to keep them in second place. Pilton Reserves got their first league win of the season, winning at home against Midsomer Norton Athletic. Chilcompton A won 7–1 away to Welton Rovers A, Timsbury Reserves move up to fifth with a good win away to bottom team, Evercreech.

The Mid-Somerset League has four teams in the Quarter-Final of the Somerset Intermediate Cup, the final game of the round saw Peasedown Albion lose to Bath Villa at home 3–2. To quote a Peasedown official: “You can’t give three goals away and win.”

On February 20th, the Quarter-Finals will be played. Tunley Reserves travel to South Petherton Reserves, Victoria Sports are home to Ilchester Juniors and two of the league’s teams are drawn together as Coleford Reserves entertain Bath Villa.
