Eight of the Mid-Somerset Football League’s teams made it through to the next round of the Somerset Junior Cup: Radstock A, Clutton Reserves, Coleford, Frome Collegians, Mells, Chilcompton Reserves, Purnell Reserves and Westfield Reserves.
In the Premier Division, there was just one game, Interhound winning 2–1 away to Temple Cloud. The First Division leaders, Chew Magna Reserves and
Baltonsborough, fought a good 0–0 draw.
There were two games in Division Two. Glastonbury Reserves lost at home to Mells Reserves, 5–0, and Saltford Reserves, with the single goal in the game from Guy Turner, beat Coleford Reserves at home, 1–0.
Chilcompton United, with goals from Harry Francis, Aaron Stead, Chris Bishop, Dave Fussell and an own goal, beat Pilton Reserves at home 5–2 in a thrilling game. Farrington Reserves drew with Purnell A, 3–3, and Peasedown Albion Reserves, at home, rattled in seven against Timsbury Reserves, with goals coming from Louis Diegots (3), Brad Gould, Rico Sobers, Olly Neech and Ross Wajknech. The vistors scored a consolation goal.
Finally, an entertaining game between Westfield A, who scored seven, (scorers, Ross Long (2), Steve Orchard, Matt Le-Core, Justin Dowling and Theo Avis) against Chilcompton Sports A, who replied with six.
